Fishing
A great fishing adventure...
Our Resort was built for those who want a Canadian Northwoods Vacation. Miles of water and forests are just outside our doorstep. Island studded waters surround us at Pine Sunset Lodge, accessible by car, boat or aircraft. Dinorwic Lake is at the headwaters of the Wabigoon River system and wind in and out among the islands for miles each way. Fishing action is best for Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, Smallmouth Bass and Yellow Perch. Lake Trout is with-in minutes from camp. We have guide services, upon request, to take you to the fishing "hot spots" or use one of our boat caches to access our neighboring lakes. Take a day trip to Basket Lake for a true adventure for Great Walleye action as well as Northern and Lake Trout.
Basket Lake is a great adventure for those who like to rough it. The Outpost is only accessible by boat. Bring your own tent, camping gear food, bait & fishing gear. We will supply the boat, motor, gas, life jackets, anchor, net and assist you with getting to the site. This is true adventure and the fishing is great for Walleye, Northern Pike and Lake Trout.
The Ministry of Natural Resources did a survey in 2001 and tagged a total of 603 Walleye in Dinorwic Lake. Out of 603 tagged fish nearly 12% have been over 10 lb. with the biggest being 17.1 lb.

Moose
Interested in Moose Hunting? Working together, we can help you plan out the hunting experience that's once in a lifetime. Check the Packages page for the base rate. We can put together any combination of hunting packages with Bull and Calf tags for Moose. The packages include heated housekeeping cabin, pre-hunt orientation, maps, tracking & pick up of game. Guides are not required in our hunting units but are available at the going rate. Meals, processing, export permit, hunting and fishing licenses are extra. The season starts mid-September for Archery and mid-October for Rifle and all ends on November 15th.

Bear
Our Bear Hunting is an exciting hunt. We have a limited amount of hunts per year and our hunters are very happy with the number and size of bear to choose from. With our 100% SUCCESS RATE how could you go wrong. The hunt includes heated housekeeping cabin, pre-hunt orientation, and transportation to and from baited & hunters' stands help with removal and skinning, freezing of meat & hide. Meals, hunting and fishing license and export permit are extra. The season starts mid-August and ends mid-October. Rifle, Shotguns, Archery or Muzzle-loader can be used.

Deer
Put your hunting skills to the test with this hunt. If you think you are a great hunter then we challenge you to hunt down one of our huge bucks. For a very reasonable rate we rent heated housekeeping cabins by the week. Extra charge items would be hunting license, fishing license, export permit, guide service, pre-hunt orientation, maps, help with removal of game, boat/motor/gas and meals. We limit the number of hunting groups per week so book your week now. The season starts mid-September for Archery, early October for Muzzleloader and mid-October for Rifle and all ends on November 15th. * Add a little more excitement to your hunt by purchasing a small game license.
Grouse
Talk about a fun hunt!! The grouse are plentiful and the logging roads are endless. Enjoy a relaxing day strolling the back trails for Spruce and Ruffled Grouse or Pheasant. Hunting dogs are welcome but must meet Canadian boarder regulations with proper papers and shots. Package includes heated housekeeping cabin, maps, boat/motor/gas for a 7-night stay. Meals, hunting and fishing licenses and export permit are extra. The season starts mid-September.
Duck & Geese
We have a variety of ducks to choose from (Rails, Common Moorhens, American Coots, Common Snipe) and abundance of rice beds to hunt them in. Hunting dogs are welcome but must meet Canadian boarder regulations with proper papers and shots. Bring your own decoys and camo and sit tight for a hunting thrill of your life. The package includes heated housekeeping cabin, maps, boat/motor/gas (not a hunting camo boat) for a 7-night stay. Meals, hunting and fishing licenses/stamps and export permits are extra. The season starts early to mid-September.
Small Game
Small game includes fox, game birds (except wild turkey), rabbits and hare in most areas, raccoon, wolf, coyote and black, grey and fox squirrels but not red squirrels. Small game licenses are available at our camp. Seasons vary so check Hunting Regulations for details.
